Recruiting Class Filling Up Quickly

First, welcome Mr. Mackey!

Our class is filling up quickly. We have not had this many verbals at this time of the year for several years.

Without attrition, I would say this class will have around 20 or so recruits. It would be nice to get a couple of additional pass rushers. We have lacked QB pressure from the end position in sometime. We don't have any LBs yet in this class. We need another DT or 2. We also need some TE depth.

Looks like there are promising kids among the early commitments, so I give the staff credit for that.

Unfortunately, verbal commitments now seem to be contingent upon two things:
1) How well Purdue does this year--another 2-10 season, and I'll expect a number of decommitments.
2) Whether or not these guys get any better offers between now and signing day.

It's a good start to the class (especially considering the program has averaged 10 losses over the past three seasons), but it's still a long way to February.
