Been pretty quiet on the recruiting front around here. Anyone here or have any insight that is of interest? Would love to see Purdue to keep the momentum going forward.

Random nugget: Painter was in Elkhart last night to watch South Bend Riley's Damezi Anderson (2018).
MSU is the front runner for KB and I would be surprised if he doesn't transfer to La Lumiere. I really hope he keeps tabs on Syd Curry as well.
I know Syd has been down there many times but since he has transferred to Horizon it has slowed a bit. KB and DF have a really good relationship. JJJ, TC, BB have been up with KB to many games and he loves the environment. I hope it changes but right now that's what I feel.
Geesh, do I need to keep some form of diary to know who all these initials belong to .... I'm worn out.

All kidding aside, thanks to the posters for the updates and thoughts....good to hear what's happening behind the scenes. Challenging times to compete with Michigan State for some of these highly-rated recruits.....CMP has his work cut out for him, but he is making some in-roads IMO.

Painter and staff aren't done recruiting for this current class. Looking to add a big. And it has been reported on this board, they are following SG Sasha Stefanovic.
Hoping Painter can beat both for KB's services. Unfortunately, they will tell the kid anything he wants to hear to get him to commit to them. I don't think that Painter has that in him.
Izzo was in FW last night to watch KB. Doesn't mean MSU is favorite, but Purdue was not present.
Believe what you want! Odd that once I say they are the favorite Izzo shows up personally to watch the game. Maybe in your world it doesn't make much since.

Either he has stated that MSU is his favorite or he hasn't. If he hasn't then this is purely speculation and that's fine but I'm just trying to figure out which it is.
It always seems that there is a mole at Purdue. Seems as soon as Purdue is talking to anyone, Izzo comes sweeping in to begin recruiting the same kid. Lol
Honestly Izzo/Fife have been on him since St. Paul. To be honest the difference is MSU has been relationships with always 100 here in the Fort. Fort Wayne has a ton of talent and the pipe line is deep. Biggie was coached and his basketball mentor was from always 100 and he wanted him at MSU and to me that is a telling point to his recruitment.
I was the one on here over a year ago hoping CMP/Owens would be on either KB or Sydney Curry. This was before they were even looked at by Purdue but were already looked at by MSU and I know this for a fact.
Unless you're a program with an elite coach....you must never have been recruited?? As for Curry...this is not true! In fact, Owens still has been in contact with him even after his issues at Luers that made him transfer. The family was going to fight the transfer rule to NorthSide because the rule doesn't pertain to Private schools...well that's what they want to claim.
Curry is a good kid with some growing up to do and would fit perfectly at Purdue. He has been working out with his uncle who is an MMA fighter and has really added more upper strength. Let things fall in place and I believe he is a top 100 kid with a big upside!
Having coached Sid in a tourney that we need to pick up a player, I can vouch that he is a real good kid. His dad, also was a real good guy and thankful that we treated his son the same as we did all the others on our "not too good team". There was never any suggested preferential treatment from him as I think it was nice for him to just be an 8th grader at the time and just one of the kids. As a coach, I want kids that want to listen and are willing to put in the work. That is what I saw in Sid from the very short time I got to know him.
It was nice to have AC Eldridge pumping the pipeline for the time that he did .... unfortunately, all good things come to an end.
I hear Izzo has a hankie with a hidden squeeze bottle. He pulls it out whenever a candidate wants to go to Purdue and weeps uncontrollably.
Unfortunately for us I think Izzo pulls out his 5 BIG tourney/7 BIG regular season/19 straight NCAA tourney/7 Final Four/2 Natl Title game/1 Natl Title card and says "what you got in your wallet?"
A coach showing up at a game does not prove that the school is favored. I don't care who the coach is. Where did you get that idea? If that was true, Izzo would get every player he ever wanted.
