They are all visiting today for a workout.Anyone have updates on how some of the recent visits went? I think Lorenzo Edwards, Bane, Spike, and Brachen Hazen were all in the in the last couple days

Well he visited yesterday but all the 2016 guys are visiting today.I thought Albrecht visited yesterday.
No.... His visit ended yesterday. The high school 2016 seniors are here today. So, he's sticking around for another day? He is technically a 2016 prospect.
hopefully, we get Spike.Lets hope they give us an update tonight or tomorrow. I am tired of reading about our sucky football team.
Hazen is by far the best fit .... can we pull him from Arkansas?thanks
Who do you think is the best out of the three visiting today?
He's not that good.. Watched him this year. At best he will be an alright reserve. I would much rather have Bane.Hazen is by far the best fit .... can we pull him from Arkansas?
I've not seen either. have you been able to see Bane a few times live? He's not that good.. Watched him this year. At best he will be an alright reserve. I would much rather have Bane.
Really don't think either would be a good fit at Purdue & am hoping we don't get either. I agree with Hazen.... not impressed. Bane is 2 stars & Hazen is 3.He's not that good.. Watched him this year. At best he will be an alright reserve. I would much rather have Bane.

But the question wasn'T "are they great," or "do you want them." The question was "which is the best." I have clearly stated before that I'm not a big Bane fan. I doubt Hazen is a whole lot better. But, who is the best of the three?????Really don't think either would be a good fit at Purdue & am hoping we don't get either. I agree with Hazen.... not impressed. Bane is 2 stars & Hazen is 3.
Spike is the best but I'd say Bane has the most potential. Just think about Hazen, he plays at a relatively big school and no high majors other than UCF wanted him but since it late in the process now teams are just trying to lick their wounds on missing star players so they get guys like Hazen. Bane intrigues me because no one really knows how good or bad he will end up because of his competition. He was a beast in HS and has the athletic ability and size to be good in college. The only Q is his competition if he was a big school player with the same numbers he'd easily be a 4*. That's why I prefer Bane. We can afford to try to develop a guy. We already have Cline and Mathias so we wouldn't force an unready Bane to playBut the question wasn'T "are they great," or "do you want them." The question was "which is the best." Thank you for a rational and intelligent reply. I appreciate it. And yes, I can buy into that philosophy if we choose to take that route. No problem.Spike is the best but I'd say Bane has the most potential. Hazen has always been a good player, but he got a ton more attention the past 18 months as he grew from 6'4 165 to 6'8 and 190. A lot easier to take a guy at 6'8 with his skillset than @ 6'4"just for the record, Maryland apparently offered Hazen a while ago, so not necessarily licking their wounds because they missed on other players
I haven't talked with anyone, but I'm going WAAAY out on a limb .... we're waiting to see if Hazen will accept (via a verbal conversation, not an actual offer) before offering anyone else (the pecking order theory) .... and yes, I do know we have spare scholarships .... but I also know that we want future flexibility ... We also want to see what Goodwin is going to do .. now that he has more offers. We certainly don't need more in that "wing" size/skills role.
Have not seen game of either but looking at what they featured in their highlight videos, Hazen strikes me as a perimeter shooter with the ability to finish at the rim (but not to get himself there). Didn't see much (if any) ball handling / driving. They are different positions (Hazen a 4/3, Bane a 2/3) but Bane strikes me as more versatile due to better overall athleticism.Hazen would be sort of a wing or a 3. I don't think he has enough size to excel as a stretch 4.
I've seen CC play. They play a lot of smaller schools that they've feasted on and got blown out by some bigger schools. Hazen is a mid major talent IMO, but we will see.Hazen has always been a good player, but he got a ton more attention the past 18 months as he grew from 6'4 165 to 6'8 and 190. IF Painter offers, i'm good with it.
Hazen is hands down one the best athletes in the state. His ball handling needs improving but he can defend and rebound very well.Have not seen game of either but looking at what they featured in their highlight videos, Hazen strikes me as a perimeter shooter with the ability to finish at the rim (but not to get himself there). Good point. I should clarify. The weakness I noticed was a lack of dribbling skills to get himself to the rim and that assessment is based solely on not seeing that skill level n the video. Maybe it's just on the editors cutting room floor. He definitely has athleticism and it showed up in interior defense and with offensive finishes when fed the ball underneath. Both players display interesting capability, in fact both shot 100% from the floor in there videos(Just a comment on the absurdity of evaluating highlight reels). The real question to me is can they perform against higher levels of competition? Not that they can't, we just don't know yet. I would assume the coaching staff does know so "we'll know more tomorrow".Hazen is hands down one the best athletes in the state.
