Since a couple games into 2013, Ive been a very large critic of Hazell, and constantly roasted on the free board for being everything from a IU fan, 'realist', or actively rooting against Purdue. My problem was a couple fold

1. Terrible attitude and effort from team
2. Forcing players into a role instead of letting them do what they are good at.
3. High school simplistic play calling, in game adjustments, and execution

Im effectively treating camp as over. The two deeps are 80-90% filled out, Im sure, and the next two weeks are more about fine tuning and game prep. Attitude sounds like it is worlds better. Im not entirely sold it will stay that way, but at least they are starting the season on the right note. Anthrop raved about the offense being tailored to guys, and Schoop put a big emphasis on AA getting in better shape to be a more effective runner. Combine that with a solid offensive performance from Saturday, and I find myself feeling pretty good. Im still not sold they will do a good job of creating and eliminating mismatches, audibling, and executing, but Im very happy with how much my worry list has shrunk. Im thinking 5-6 wins for these guys.
