Seriously could you imagine the threads on here tonite even though Purdue would have made it to the elite 8. Up 14 at halftime. Up 16 with 9 mins to go. Just like Purdue's team this year. Virginia totally pulled a Purdue in that game and I bet Virginia fans are hopping mad. IN fact which would have been worse. Losing to Little Rock or losing the way Virginia did in that Elite 8 game?

Neither is very pleasant for sure, but give me the Elite 8 every time.

I'd take Elite Eight over our finish, but I would question our coach's ability after a loss like that. In real life though, he did it to a crap team.

Little Rock was not a crap team. They were a 12 seed and if you haven't noticed NCAA has a history of 12 seeds winning in tourney. They were 29-4 and had beaten a couple of quality teams on the road. Rated one of best teams defensively and the Purdue previewers were pointing out the concerns in that game. Ark basically packed it in the paint and Purdue did not shoot well from 3 especially in the first half. The reality is if Purdue had done what it should have done. Which was hit open 3's against that team in the first half. Purdue would have and should have had an 8-10 point lead. Thus the comeback never likely happens in 2nd half. Outside of the 15 & 16 teams. No team is crap. I'd argue MSU lost to a crap team.

Purdue's inconsistent 3 pt shooting especially on the road was maddening all season. They would miss wide open 3's.

It's difficult to say how fans would have reacted, we have no prior experience with Painter getting that far.
