Realistic Targets Moving Forward?

To say that missing out on Pack is a major disappointment is an understatement. That kid could have taken this team to another level (or two). However, I am sure the coaching staff is moving forward in trying to find another point guard. My biggest question is: How much does it hurt Purdue that they waited so long to begin focusing on other players? Do those players have the mindset of "You did not want me before, so I am not giving you the time of day now."? Or...do they look at this as a unique (and very good) opportunity? I guess time will tell. However, we cannot go into the season with Braden Smith as our starting point guard (although I am really excited about his future).

With that being said, who are some realistic targets for Purdue moving forward? A few transfers came that came to my mind are:

1) Jaelin Llewellyn (obviously)
2) Dylan Penn
- Bellermine transfer
- I know he visited Missouri, but I have not seen much else.
- From Evansville
- STRUGGLES from the 3 point line
- 2 years of eligibility left. Would Painter want a 2-year guy?
3) Marcus Hammond (Niagara)
- Averaged 18 a game and shot 37% from the 3pt line
- Not an Indiana kid, but he is scheduled to visit Notre Dame next weekend. Logistically, you should be able to get him on campus.
- One year of eligibility left.
- This is a kid I really think Purdue should target.

What are some other legitimate targets out there for Purdue? Thoughts?
