very disappointed obviously , but what can you say or do. Nobody was beating Kansas tonight. Vince and Mathias were no shows and that didn't help.

When a team plays like that though just chalk it up for what it is a buzzsaw.

This is why I wanted the Gonzaga bracket.

Now does Swanigan leave ? 90% he does.

For the Painter haters , go find another team to root for

Kansas played like a National Champion tonight. I don't think there is a college team that could have beaten them tonight. We played well, but they were too much.

I think if Purdue played this team 10 times, they might win once.
Not sure I'd take 10% odds. Purdue hasn't played a game this year that could beat that Kansas team, or even 85% of that team we just saw. Guess KU could regress and play poorly, but a terrible matchup for Purdue.

how is it a buzzsaw with 16 stupid turnovers and double teaming the only guy who isnt scoring and draconianly sitting vince with only 2 fouls. mistakes were made by players and coach. we had to play smart and we didnt. it was a good year but this was a pretty piss poor performance.

Purdue's best this year, for 2 halves, probably loses by 10 tonight. Home crowd with KU firing on all cylinders. Not one team in the tourney would have beaten them tonight. No shame in losing to them, margin of loss was not a total shocker (the reverse score would have been).

Purdue got a piss poor draw to be honest. You're the Big Ten Champion and you played a red hot Iowa State team in the second round only to advance and play Kansas in their backyard. Just a cruddy draw imo.

Even though Purdue had success this year, that's an awfully big bucket of ice water to take at the end of the season. That really is the type of loss that could set a program like Purdue back.

Agreed should have never gotten a 4 seed Purdue should have been a 3 or even 2. Even then that would have only bought us time till the elite 8. Like I said I was really wanting the Gonzaga bracket but that was asking too much being a Purdue fan

I really don't get how this is an almost yearly thread yet some folks are ok with it. I was an avid Painter defender for many years. Especially the lean years after the Moore, JJ class left. But within the last 2 years I realized this program has reached it's ceiling with CMP. Add to it the mental collapses the past few seasons and I just can't support him anymore. Purdue has a legitimate basketball history. The program has done just about everything but win a championship. Actually you could even step back just a bit further and say everything but gone to a final 4 in 30+ years. Did anyone watch any of the other games last night? Michigan made so many huge plays to give themselves a chance to win. Every time Oregon made a run Michigan made plays to keep it close. Purdue didn't. Say what you want about how good KU is right now but losing by 32 cannot happen in the sweet 16. There are so many other things you can bring up to prove Painter isn't the coach to take Purdue to their first final 4 in 30+ years. I knew sweet 16 was the teams ceiling this year so I was satisfied... However, losing by 32 really hurts.
