Rally falls short (link)

Ironically rugged, aggressive D got us back in the game, but no D on the interior. Their center seemed to make every shot. but we had several chances to extend a one point lead down the stretch and just did not do it. A good team beat us and we play another Sunday vs, Dayton. Still this is a much more exciting Boiler team to watch this year. They should make it to some tourney. Right now I would call us solid middle of the pack.

Agree we are much better than last year. Much better. However, other than the continued improved play from April and surprisingly marked improvement from Keys, last night was a step backward. Too many unforced turnovers and too few assists. Ratio need to be reversed. Defense has been great, but need to move the ball around and get an offensive flow.

Also, I thought McBride was our highest touted recruit? While she hasn't made many mistakes, she has that deer-in-the-headlights look about her. Is this just a lack of confidence? She definitely seems timid on the floor.

How can you say defense has been great when we can't guard anyone in the paint. Easy layup after easy layup

Forced 17 turnovers and at least 2 shot clock violations. Our bigs had no answer for their 6'4" frosh, though. She carried their team. Hopefully, coaches and players alike learned something, both offensively and defensively. She had senior post moves as a freshman.
