Starting center Kirk Barron did not practice today with an ankle injury. Coordinator Terry Malone didn't seem concerned it'd keep Barron out Saturday but also admitted you "never know" about ankles.
Mike Mendez was the first-team center throughout practice. Hard to tell sometimes if those guys are IDing what they're supposed to and making the right calls, but didn't see any bobbled exchanges or shotgun snaps, so that's a plus. It'd still be a considerable difference if Barron can't play, but not to that worry point yet.
We'll talk to Hazell after Wednesday's practice to get an update on Barron, if needed. He may be back out there by then, too.
