I think Spack could have eventually turned things around but Purdue needed an innovative, dynamic offensive scheme. Immediate increase in season tic sales is a priority and Brohm will put butts in seats. Bobinski nailed it with this hire.
I would agree Spack would have represented an improvement over Hazell. But it was obvious Purdue needed a major overhaul, fresh start and someone who could bring some excitement back. Fans would rather see a 48-45 shootout than a boring 17-14 victory.
