If a kid is forced out of a football program would you be in favor of that player being eligible immediately at his next school if he found a take at the FBS level?
I ask because Missouri has to expunge 3-5 players to get under the 85 scholarship number cap while Florida just booted a kid who is pending criminal charges that could be dropped this week. For the Missouri kids it is nothing more than the staff seeing more value in younger/other players that's costing them a spot. If the charges are dropped against the Florida kid he just lost his scholarship.
The biggest issue would be the pure documentation that a coach is making the decision to rescind a scholarship over the kid wanting to transfer. Some coaches would be hesitant to put that to paper for fear of it being used against them, but getting off scot free for kicking kids off seems unfair too.
