Question for all of us Boiler fans

Being a Bears fan, we sometimes muse if it is better to win the Super Bowl, or beat Green Bay twice. Or, asked another way, would winning a Super Bowl while losing twice to GB constitute a "successful" season? (Rhetorical, of course, but you get the idea.)

Now, knowing that we can be beaten at home, where we really haven't always shot so well, the idea of losing again to Indinia can not be discounted. Suppose that happens and we go on to win the Natty, are we COMPLETELY satisfied, knowing that iu fans will always gloat that we were only the 2nd best team in the state? As others have noted, iu's first Natty in 1940, Purdue was actually the Big 10 champs, but lost to iu twice. To me, that is a double whammy!

If you're cutting down the nets in April, everything else is meaningless.

When the Braves won the World Series two years ago, I didn't really care how they got there.
