Question and musing about the Scheffler clip

While reading the thread and (re) watching the clip on SS's halftime speech recently, I seem to recall brother Tom had a cup of coffee in the NBA, and Steven a little more than that. I still remember Steve matching up (not unfavorably either!) with Scottie Pippen during a snippet of an NBA finals game.

Question: I am aware of the Zellers and Plumlees having 3 sons to reach the League, and of course the Van Arsdales, but how many other brothers have played in the NBA? Didn't Gus Johnson have a playing brother from back in the day? Were the Schefflers Purdue's only 2 sets of brothers to make it?

Here is an interesting list.....my staff hasn't independently verified it. Note the bolded names for Purdue's Scheffler brothers and Carl Landry (whose brother Marcus played for Wisconsin and the NBA's Knicks and Cetlics for a couple of years).

Some great old-time names on there. If you judge each by the weaker player, is there a better pair than the Gasol brothers?

Thanks for a great list that brings back a lot of memories.

A question: Isn't Klay Thompson Mychel's son? Which gives rise another fun discussion of father-son combos (the Barrys, Currys, Jalen Rose and his dad, and so on ...) who both played in the league.

Father-son list missing at least one pair...

Father-son list missing at least one pair...
Big Dog and his son are not on the list...and, I am pretty sure that Henry Bibby had a brother that played as well. Hardaway's appear to be missing as well from the father/son list...Nance's...probably a handful of others, but those couple came to mind pretty easily and quickly.

Thanks, gents.....updated the initial list, which appeared to be from a few years ago....found a more recent one and merged. Might still be some inaccuracies or omissions.....limited warranty...... ;)

Seems like a fair number from just the last few years.

I cannot see any pair being better than the Vans...but then who was the weaker player there?

Legends in the State of Indiana.....very solid pro careers for both. I remember seeing more of Dick Van A (the "Original Sun")......"Remarkably" similar stats, but I think Dick Van Arsdale had the slightly better and more successful pro career.....played in the '76 Finals with Phoenix as I recall. Not surprisingly, Tom and Dick played their final seasons together for the Suns. Do they have an uncle Harry?
