He basically said he's so baffled by all the options provided by the experts on here he doesn't know which way to turn.
Maybe we could study Kansas the #1 team in the country...oh wait, they are currently losing to West Virginia because they can't handle the press. I guess they need a real point guard and /or a new coach.
If everyone could beat a press there would be no reason to.........press. It works on lots of teams besides us. Somehow we think we're the only ones who struggle at times. Amazing.
Bill Self (Kansas coach) was quoted in this game as saying they don't need to "beat" the press, they need to ATTACK the press and make WV pay. So far, they've been just so-so at it.
And let's be honest, when you play WVU you prepare for the press. It wasn't just a thing thrown on them in the 2nd half. Not saying it makes our situation ok vs. Iowa, but as I stated in another thread - we've played teams that were known full court press teams before and prepared for it and have done quite well before. Hence the comments about "we never do well…" are not really that accurate.
