Purdue WBB wins season opener against Marshall

Any double-digit, season opening win against a mid-major and above without a key starter is considered a good win IMO.

We struggled defensively at times - but this was a completely new team we were playing - it's incredibly hard for the coaching staff to do any type of scouting against a a team that has 10 new players. In contrast - the Marshall coaching staff had a ton of film on our players and system from last year. So there was bound to be some surprises, defensively, that we didn't game plan against. I believe this will be the norm for a lot of teams with preseason games. Excited about the play of Smith and Harper. We are going to need big years from both to do any type of damage in the B10.
