Purdue vs. Ole Miss: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

Braden was too out of control down the stretch. Seriously, what happened to his decision making.
Loyer: just shoot the damn ball! That backwards pass was so stupid.
And why didn't we/Cam/CMP guard the kid on the inbounds pass at the end? At least be near him to be a tad more uncomfortable on final shot, vs WIDE OPEN....

Nah, I think you want 5 on 4 on the receiving end...there's a better chance to tip it.

I see alot of people saying ole miss was taking bad shots at the end and some of that is true but Painter made the adjustment to switch the ball screen completely on the 1 to 5 pick and roll instead of having the 5 help with the dribble. After ole miss stopped getting open to wide open shots from that action their offense fell apart.

I think that Braden is trying to carry the team when he really doesn’t have to. He’s got a lot of talent surrounding him.

What happened to Cox?

Solid defender and can create his own shot. Team was having issues making stops all second half.

The regular season is for building guys for tourney time.

it's sooo nice having a coach to make adjustments and knowing how to coach

Yes…I have always been a Purdue alum fan. I become very upset when Purdue does not play well…like the stretch when the Rebels out scored US by 20 points.

I wondered the same when I saw we had zero bench points midway in the 2nd half

I think he'll get his opportunities.....Painter did shorten the rotation this game, but it's only Game 8.

Harris had a rough game, but he had his moments the last game - need Smith and Loyer to stay solid down the stretch.....a good trip when you beat two solid teams with still room to improve.

Liked that CMP had Harris in for Loyer for a bit helped on D.

Glad water found it's level and they missed several down the stretch. But some of that was due to coaching by Purdue.

What a fun game. Lucky, but a roller coaster of highs and lows. Escaped with a W today, but it could have gone the other way.

Colvin gets the MVP and packed the highlight reel with a few of those plays. That last bucket was pure luck though, right place right time. I'll take it.

Hey Tex, the" Utes " are on now

Great win but absolutely hate playing only 7

CJ Cox hurt?

Where was Burgess?
Burgess has been only getting a minute or so a game just to get him in this game was too close.

I think Harris is better against a press than cox just his size and ability to dribble through it.

I'll have to watch again, but how did Purdue outrebound them by 11 and get 13 fewer shot attempts?
