Purdue rolls , Fran has a bizarre tantrum and Nitewing on national board goes off.

Man has Fran really been there 8 years now ? I’d be ready for a change

I hope you're right but the Boilers haven't won at Iowa since the 2011-2012 season.

Iowa scares me. Their coach has a knack for getting them pumped of for our games. Which of their players go absolutely bonkers and has the game of his life?

Yea I agree, they are scary when they’re clicking offensively. I’d hope our defense has something to say about that. Plenty of motivation for the seniors to get a win finally a Carver-Hawkeye. 11:00am tip local time so hopefully the Boilers can take the crowd out before they have a chance to get going.

these early saturday games scare me...easy to be sleepy...but they took care of business last week with one.

Nitewing is really out there. He gets some kudos for being a rabid fan, but those are wiped out by his unreasonable nature. His campaign/man-crush on Bohannon makes me want that guy to trip over his own feet half way up the court 3-4 times just to screw Nitewing over.

They scored 104 against Illinois in their last outing/win. They're better than their record indicates, particularly at home.
IL is beyond pathetic. Team is so bad they're making their fans forget Lovie's football team. BTW, thanks for posting this before each game Nag.

Have to respect opponent anytime on the road in B10 but... Iowa will have spurts but this is not a team that will hang with us 40 minutes. I can see close at half even Iowa playing out their mind up. 40 minutes and our seniors will get job done. Bank on it and then we move on to Michigan again.

Well, they play at Rutgers tonight (think it will be on BTN). We'll see how they look.

.....there’s always one. Usually one coming out of the woodwork.

Off to the airport. considering Delta's WiFi works about 10% of the time, by the time I touch down on Sat the game will be almost over. Hoping for a quick start and a dominating game out of the Boilers!!

Most road games make me nervous, so we just need to be ready to play. I think the memory of last year's game will keep us focused and ready for some revenge. At least I hope that is the case! Iowa without Peter Jok this time; I think we should walk out of Carver-Hawkeye with the W! Purdue 78, Iowa 69 Boiler Up!

Iowa would have to play like Nebraska and we'd have to slump and fail to adjust like UM.

Anything is possible, but I'll find better odds at the new casino in town....

Agree. Anything possible on road but losing to a .500 overall team and being one of the elite teams nationally shouldn't happen and won't. Over and over 4 seniors that start don't lose a game like this. 40 minutes Iowa needs to play well, won't happen.

Any Big Ten Team is capable of a win on any given night; however, Iowa is #3 in scoring offense and dead last in scoring defense. On average they give up 76.4 points per game. We are way above average this year so it is not out of the realm of possibilities that Purdue puts up 85 or more points. It just depends on how well we are executing our offense and how close the game is since a blowout will bring in Luce & Company and we will not score as many points even though we could have.

Some other notable statistics are:
3-pt % - Purdue #1 and Iowa #4
3-pt D - Purdue #3 and Iowa #8
FT % - Purdue #2 and Iowa #11
FG % - Purdue #2 and Iowa #5
FG % D - Purdue #2 and Iowa #13
Rebounding O - Purdue #6 and Iowa #4
Rebounding D - Purdue #6 and Iowa #9

A couple interesting nuggets from the Purdue game notes:

1) This will be the fifth straight game vs Iowa in which Purdue is ranked in the top 25. Yet, our Boilers are just 1-3 in the previous four.

2) This year's senior class has a winning record against every B1G team... except Iowa.

This game will resemble the Nebraska game. In total control but can't run away. Predict a 12-15 point win. Boiler Up!
