The Boilers take on the Spartans @ the Breslin Center in East Lansing tonight. Tip-off coming up in a little less than a half-hour with national coverage on ESPN2. Although this may not be one of Tom Izzo's vintage squads, there is plenty of young talent all over the court to give Purdue quite a challenge. I expect the Spartans to play well on their home court in the first of two meetings between the teams in the regular season.

If the Boilers can stay even or ahead early on, they'll have a better chance of dictating the pace and working inside-outside. Hit a decent percentage from the perimeter, continue to look for post opportunities, and improve with the turnovers....and the Boilers can come out with a Yuge road win at the outset of a crucial stretch in the schedule. If we see similar play/decisions that we saw in Columbus and Iowa City, it could be a long night for Purdue.

The Izzone will be fired up; you can count on that. Should be a great atmosphere and a really good contest. Can you dig it?

Boiler up my friends.
