With Alabama losing over the weekend, Purdue was the major beneficiary of the remaining first place votes. Tennessee makes the jump to #2 after an impressive win over Texas.

Current top five:

Purdue
Tennessee
Houston
Alabama
Arizona

Indiana moves in at #21 - Illinois, Rutgers and Northwestern receiving votes.

If Purdue remains #1 this time next week, it will have been a great weekend for sure. Regardless, well done, Boilers.

Only makes sense. Tennessee was never going to come close to making up that ground. Maybe if they hadn't lost to Kentucky or Colorado. Either way... I have Purdue #1 as well because that was about the easiest part of it all. But also have Illinois in at #25..

You had more faith in the voters, for sure.
It was a combination of where the votes were previously along with who we beat and how we beat them. If we won a road game against Nebraska and a home game against Northwestern, it may have been a different story.

When you say "I have Purdue...." do you have a web site or ranking service et al? Just curious.

I'm not a recruit, but if I were one, which means I would be 56 years younger, but I meander, but if I were a recruit that didn't need to buy my mom a house.... would NC/Duke/KY/Kansass ... hmmm ...

But seriously, back in August if we would have been told by January Purdue would be a unanimous AP #1...

Haha......Some "possible" reactions may have been......
