I think that Purdue clearly looks like one of the top 4 teams in the conference this season, with a good chance to finish first. I've got Wisconsin #1, but not by much.
Bold prediction. I think Purdue will have a good season. Last year's team was better IMO because of AJH's impact on D. However with RD not swallowing 35 minutes on O I do think our ball movement will be better.
Do you ever offer anything basketball related?
Kessel, I think your role as hall monitor is overplayed. We are all big boys here and can decide who is an asshole and who is not. I wish I could get you to switch gears just a bit and focus more on the subject of these posts, and less on the poster. I got to tell you that I do chuckle a bit when you light into some of these idiots, but it does get to be overwhelming as I read through threads.
Except for a few obvious trolls, most of the people who post here are Purdue fans. Yes, some have been oddly personally insulted by the short runs in the NCAA's, and somehow feel the need to lash out at the team they think slighted them, like self-entitled spoiled children. Your approach just flames their anger. I think it much more effective to point out how mistaken they are through logic. It tends to hollow out their self righteous position, and brings them gently back to reality.

I really don't think that picking Purdue to finish in the top 4 is all that bold.
AJ is a big loss, but Purdue remains very strong at center. I think that Purdue's guard play will be much stronger than last year, as will the forward combo of Vince Edwards and Swanigan. I expect a huge season from Swanigan.

Longer answer, I get what you are trying to say and started out here trying to be civil but that was eroded thanks to the negatwitts. I quickly grew tired of their garbage being spewed even though people like yourself constantly prove them wrong. Basically, I'll go back to being civil as soon as then stop being dumbasses. It all starts and ends with them... If I get blacklisted, so be it. It takes 10 seconds to create another account.
The problem is the notion they can be talked to logically. That simply isn't the case with posters like cpr, nag, bonefish, 88btfu just to name a few, as they simply ignore facts and are bent on hating on Painter and the team no matter what. As you said they are self-entitled douchebags and while I am sorry it clutters it up for you and the rest of the level-headed posters here, it all begins and ends with the negatwitts.
I disagree, I think this year will be much better. AJ won't be as big a loss as you may believe. Haas has plenty of experience and I would expect less of a point guard issue and Swanigan to improve immensely.
I do agree with the 11th though, but in the final AP rankings.
