I'd be curious what Purdue's points per possession are when: A. They play the half-court offense where attempting the feed the most is priority #1 B. When they push the ball in transition, drive to the bucket or even take quicker shots.
It seems that B. would be higher. I don't have all the data points, but the IU game at Mackey and the last few minute frenzie against Minny & MSU really stand out. Seems like BoilerBF has had some really good points about the dump to the post philosophy.
Wonder whether there is a stats guy around the program who tracks, analyzes & informs Painter of these things and many others. Assume there is. If not, that's a problem.
