Purdue NFL draft

Trice is projected much higher, at least from what I've seen. I'd say we're looking at a minimum of two and a max of five getting drafted.

Fwiw, espn had Jones as the 15th best available and 2nd best wr available. Trice is a couple spots below Jones in best available and I think 5th best CB available.

NOTE: the aforementioned is going into the 4th rd

Oh wow that's a huge difference! CBS has Jones #276 overall (i.e. not drafted), and the 23rd currently available WR. Trice is #85 overall and 5th CB available.

O'Connell was NOT on the list of "Notable QBs still available" just now on NFL Network. I think there were 6 guys on the list. Part of the issue is he's behind 2 older guys already in Stetson Bennett and Max Duggan, who might not be better quarterbacks, but have a better pedigree because of where they played.

Skipping the bowl game didn’t matter apparently.

A couple quarterbacks have gone recently too now. The Fresno St player to the Saints, and Bennett to the Rams.

I’m not following the draft closely and might be in the minority and possibly piss some people off but I don’t think AOC is getting drafted or has a long term professional career. Least likely out of all the boilers in my opinion

Gotta wonder. There have been 9 CBs taken since I saw Trice as the best available CB, and he's been best available player period for at least a round.

Didn’t think him skipping the bowl game was wise for a guy with his injury history.

Congrats to the five Boilers drafted.
Most since the Tiller era. Hope they all stick in the NFL.

Purdue had some great draft stories this year. Aiden O'Connell the walk-on. Charlie Jones the undersized journeyman. Cory Trice the comeback player. Payne Durham the high school lacrosse player.

Charlies Jones was also a walk-on at Iowa before transferring here. Quite a few good stories. Jalen was a nice surprise.

Surprising to me that Jalen Graham was selected last amongst the boilers. I think the position change after Lambert left didn't work out well both for the draft and for us last season. He has the most physical potential out of all the Boilers drafted this year.

Graham's combine was terrible for an undersized LB. I'm guessing he solely made it based on his tape.
