Given the clear talent disparity, Purdue could not have played better today, but were no match though, after the drubbing last week, could hold their heads up. Many mentioned the bad passes. It's not just bad playing; it's Maryland's physical superiority. They have the speed and length that the announcer kept referring to that harassed Purdue into these turnovers. And when Purdue missed they were down the floor like eagles and TOTALLY dominated on the O boards. This Purdue team could not ever beat this MD team and that is true for a lot of BT teams. Only the teams with similar athletes can compete. Purdue does not have that.
--Now the drama. Do they get in the NCAA--could go either way. Will there be a new coach--could go either way. If Purdue makes the Dance, do you let a coach go? The fan base really seems to want it, but a fan base is only that.
--The loss of Oden and Harris will make next year hard to even match this disappointing season. Fatuo has been a real surprise if she can sustain it. MC will is always good but will be under more pressure with out her amiga at her side. There is some young talent that has to be developed of course. Will be very curious to see what happens in the off season.
