Purdue looks bad tonight and is definitely in jeopardy of losing

Vince had 4 first half to's and multiple bone headed plays.

And Carsen is shooting Purdue in to bad positions.
Vince has been sloppy on his passes again. So frustrating. Haas continually tries to bulldoze his way under. He just needs to keep his feet under him and accept 6 foot turn arounds.

Carsen has been a bright point. A few bad shots but he's not been bad.

Vince has missed like 5, 5 footers. Couple that with his turnovers...he's a big part of the issue

VE turnovers should not happen to a junior. Very weak feeding the post. CE is a two edged sword, but I like him in the game anyway.

Really disappointed with Vince and Isaac. They are juniors and this is their 3rd tournament. Also, Vermont is playing harder and wants it more. Lamb is playing with passion.

Purdue better not come out playing like that the next game. Those open 3's are killing this team. This is sudden end season ending death and there's no time for that first half timidness. Purdue should be angry. Angry as helllll out there. ESPN dissed this conference hard. It's been hell to get here. They better approach the rest of these games like it's an in the face war.

The end result is all that matters. These games are not exactly easy. While cruising to a blowout would be nice, u are dismissing a helluva effort & execution by Vermont.

Alas from the 10 min mark on in the 2nd half the guys just stayed the course and ground them down. See also "Imposition of Will"

Lets face the truth. These are the best 64 teams in the country. Is it any wonder that all these games are close? We won by 10, which I will take every time. These were not some YMCA team. This team had a good record and was well coached, and well skilled. We beat a good team tonight. We will face another in 2 days. Let's not under estimate these teams.

I think Painter needs to change up his pre tourney prep. The players don't seem ready to play and look a little nervous.
The good news is that they won't be over confident from a blow out win. They know they need to come out a play better from the get go in the next game. Also, maybe the jitters will be gone.

They weren't a YMCA team but I'm pretty damn certain those refs came straight from the nearest Y to ref the game.

If Painter doesn't play a zone in the 1st half of the next game, he should be fired and Tubby Smith should be hired to finish the game. Period.

I thought overall, we played pretty good! With 21 straight wins Vermont looked more like about an 8 seed in my opinion. Glad we played well down the stretch to pull it off.
Nevada gave Iowa State a pretty good game, so hopefully they will be a little tired on Saturday. Iowa State seems pretty arrogant in my opinion; hopefully we can use that to their disadvantage.

I'll admit when I am wrong...no problem. But Vince was bad in the first half, you can't argue that. However? He played a totally different game in the second half. If he plays with that intensity and focus, he should be able to drop 20+ on the regular.

Carsen did hit some shots but had some very questionable ones as well...that being said, I think he has to start against Iowa State. Cline is giving absolutely nothing while starting (0 points again) and he is starting to be a liability in offense in the aspect of his man doubling down on Biggie and Haas every time. You'll be able to tel very quickly if Carsen needs a few minutes to calm himself and get in the proper frame of mind...but he is too valuable to sit at the start against Iowa state

Anyone disappointed in Vince still please speak up. But it's best you stfu.
Vince was poor at best in the first half. Poor passes killed our post offense. Then, he tried to be the post offense and threw 4 3ft bunnies off the back iron.

He was great in the 2nd half but was a glaring weakness in the first. Glad he figured it out.

It's never how you start - it's always how you finish that matters.
