What will be some of the (non-obvious) keys to success for the Boilermakers in this game?

Free Throws are one big key. This is a game against a smaller team like MSU, IU, or Northwestern where if Purdue is patient with getting the ball inside, they can get into the bonus early.

They have not been shooting as well the past 2 games for some reason, but if they are locked in and make them near 80% clip like we have most of the year it will be a huge plus for Purdue.

The thing is, I believe Iowa State will try to clog the inside and double Swanigan and Haas every time they get the chance, so that will likely negate Purdue shooting a ton of free-throws unless the guards and VE are creating off of their dribble and/or making shots from mid-range and the perimeter.

How should everyone (of the projected starters) match up in man-to-man D?

I believe it would be best for CMP to put CE on Monte Morris, Thompson on Naz Long, Mathias on Matt Thomas, VE on Deonte Burton, and Swanigan on Solomon Young.
