mike bobinski has to have been prepared for every possibly contingency.

I’ve always thought that once the infrastructure is in place.....The only thing Purdue will always need is some swagger in it’s coaches’ recruiting attitudes and some offensive inventiveness.

Agreed. The sky is not falling. The current administration we will NOT be hiring Hazell part 2. There would be a setback, but with a solid timely hire we'd be Ok. If recruits follow Brohm to UL, our new hire would likely bring some recruits and transfers to fill the gaps and do some poaching. Class might slip into the 50's, which is better than what Brohm inherited.

As good of a hire Brohm was, the home run was hiring a good coach coming out of the Hazell era. Going with the baseball analogy, Bobinski hit a home run on an 0-2 count. We are on much better footing now to hire a good coach. Brohm leaving and losing some recruits would be a strike against, but we'd be at more of an even 1-1 count. And we don't need a home run this time.

Completely agree. Even if we only keep half the class, it's still better than any class Hazell brought in. MBob already has a list. He's ready if necessary but I'm sure his first priority is extending Brohm.
