I titled this Purdue Friends because I'm not here to talk trash after your team had a bad game. I had Minnesota as an easier win for Northwestern (I had Akron as a sure win and Duke as a probable win and Wisconsin and MSU as losses... point is I'm wrong sometimes). I didn't see any of the Purdue Minnesota game. What happened? Was the Minnesota DC so bad that firing him was a huge net positive? Is their offense legit? They seem to be able to put up points against most teams. 31 on Iowa, for example, granted it was a loss. Should I be worried about this game for my Cats this weekend?

We are currently only able to win in one way, and that's throwing the ball all over the field. The weather killed that, and we don't yet have the talent to play the other teams' game and still find a way to win. It was ugly but doesn't change much imo

Would have liked to see Brohm establish the run and just get out Minny with a ball control victory. Some times you have to alter your plans and your ideas when weather doesn't permit you to fully do what you want to do.

It is not as if the game was played in a blizzard. It was cold but snow not a factor.

Purdue came out flat from the get-go. Blough did not really read the D well and rarely tried to get the ball to the outside receivers. The TEs were not effective. All in all a bad game and there was little half-time adjustment. When Blough struggles and is not replaced the game gets ugly.
