Jake Repogle!!! I know that he did not play the whole season but the defensive landscape changed when he played.......

I think Replogle ends up continuing Purdue's streak of having players drafted to 20 years (dating back to 1997). He needs a strong showing at any of the post-season bowls like the Shine Game or the Senior Bowl to probably improve his stock...but it might signal the end of that streak.

I dont think he has been invited to a post season game yet. Shame if he isnt.

I think Yancey has a chance late in the draft if he posts a decent 40 time.

also depends on who would take a shot w/ him, a team like the Eagles certainly could use him.

Yancey? Lots of teams need WR. Is he willing to go over the middle in the NFL. I dont think he is fast enough to run fly patterns all game at the next level.

Wouldn't surprise me to see one of the senior guards go late in the draft, big, strong, and athletic. I believe KP went in the 6th a few years ago because he put up great numbers at his pro day. Tampa Bay took him to play guard.

Because of his injuries and if he doesn't get an all star bowl invite, his chances of being drafted are slim at best. I hate to say it, but a lot of scouts will look at the scores and the rushing allowed stats and the third down allowed stats, and just assume he was part of that melt down and not look any further.

This may be harsh, but few teams, scouts and people outside of Purdue fans are going to have a desire to review any game film of any Purdue defender. We saw the same thing with our dbacks last year.

He is going to need a combine invitation and really good results to have any chance of being drafted or signed as a non drafted free agent.

sometimes his effort going for the ball looked ?'able. The one home game , it mighty have been wisky, he had a step on the db at like the one yardline and the ball landed 2 yds in front of him and he didn't extend out for the TD grab, just stayed upright.

No scout worth a shit will ignore Replogle because of the total defensive stats. If they do they should be fired.

As for last year, Brown was drafted. Williams wasnt drafted because of concussion issues, not because of the pass defense.

Replogle, Yancey, Roos, King, Marshall, Gregory and D. Young will get a chance.....

Wish them the best.....

Replogle's injury history would be more likely to be an inhibitor in the draft than Purdue's team stats defensively. I think he'll end up getting taken in the lower middle rounds if he impresses them during workouts. Also think Yancey is more likely to get drafted but Marshall may end up being the one to play at the next level. Much better ball instincts imo but he'll need to improve that 40 time.

Gregory wont. Not skilled enough at any position.

Young, big maybe. That knee injury was brutal.

Let's face the facts. NFL teams place a premium on player injuries. At this time, Replogle hasn't received any all star game invitations. Scouts will pay a lot more attention to all star game performances than game film. His injury was a major strike against him. Whether fair or not, Purdue's defense built a reputation of tiring out in the 4th quarter of games for the past 3+ years. Purdue's defense has a bad reputation of not being able to tackle, not putting pressure on the QB, and being constantly run over by 300 pound linemen and running backs. Even Purdue fans are very critical of our strength and conditioning coach and the conditioning of our athletes. Replogle is going to have to overcome a lot of myths about his health , injuries, conditioning, and the overall impression of Purdue's lack of defense for any scout to take a serious look at him. The majority of scouts will be watching bowl games, the Senior Bowl week and the East West Shrine game. It's going to be hard to gain any attention without being a part of these activities. I won't blame scouts for ignoring Replogle. But there are many other players who play the same position. And their time and money will be spent as efficiently as possible. And the past will prove scouts have skipped over many other worthy player. And last year, there were many well known players who were not drafted and. Many other players who were drafted several rounds later than expected. Injuries are a tremendous red flag in the NFL and its draft. And a lot of deserving players are simply ignored.

Before his injury, I would have given Dom Young the best chance of being drafted. That injury was a huge red flag. .

Rather than being totally negative, and saying none of our players are worthy of being drafted in the NFL, I will offer a different take. Yes, our players have a lot of talent. But so do a lot of other players from other schools. Without a bowl or all star game appearance, it is very hard for a player to get noticed by a scout. It's not fair, but scouts only look at so many players. Only so many players get all star game invitations. Only so many players get invitations to the combine . and very few scouts attend a team's pro day. Replogle and other Purdue are going to face some tough obstacles to get drafted. But as we have seen, several former Purdue players who were not drafted, were still able to make an NFL roster and contribute.

Scouts take notice of players regardless of bowl or all star games. The only issue that will hold replogle back is the head injury this year.

As for pro days, there were 23 teams at last years. Visibility wont be the limiter.

Anyone know what the Regplogle record is in Bucket games? Just curious. Obviously Jake went 0-4 at Purdue and his brothers played at IU in a time when we were winning most all of the games.

I was talking to my friend about that on senior day. Despite a lot of personal success on and off the field, the only side of ball the Replogle's seem to ever be playing on is the losing one.

I hope he gets drafted and lives his dream of playing in the NFL. his head injury is a big red flag. And I'm being realistic. there are a lot of talented football players available each year for the NFL draft. And there are a lot of talented players who get passed over. He's going to have to find a way to get noticed.

With Yancey his issue is this...How do you have all of the talent and gifts that he has and have only one resectable season......Late Boomer or Head case?
The pass in the end zone vs. Whisky one of several plays that Yancey shut down on during his Purdue Career
