We hope to have a sourced story later, but we can tell you for fact that in the middle of the night last night, a water main break possibly connected to Purdue's football training center project flooded portions of the athletic campus, incurring what's thought to be significant damage to Mackey Arena's floor, which was covered in water, as well as Holloway Gymnasium and other portions of the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility, including football's locker room, which was flooded too.

Purdue is certainly covered by insurance for this sort of thing, but repairs will be no small undertaking this summer and camps will obviously be affected. Purdue has volleyball camps this summer and basketball uses the IAF and Mackey for its team camps, which start June 10.

We believe Cardinal Court is unharmed.

No info yet on timeframe or cost for repairs, but like I said this won't be a small job, but insurance will cover it, from what we understand.

More to come ...
