Nathan Baird just posted a brief wrap-up.Ok I saw a very reliable poster say by double digits
What? You mean there is a chance this team may be good?Nathan Baird just posted a brief wrap-up.

Purdue won easily, by double digits, but no final score was given. 16 turnovers and won the rebounding battle by 6.
WVU is ranked 10 by USA Today and 7 by KenPom.
Taylor didn't play but will be back in practice Tuesday.
Noooo. I read on this forum that experience is not very relevant. I don’t see us doing well with all those seniors. What? You mean there is a chance this team may be good?![]()
The team will be good as long as Painter stays out of their way. Heard this from a reliable internet source. What? You mean there is a chance this team may be good?![]()

Abe Lincoln, UCLA's first coach???The team will be good as long as Painter stays out of their way. Heard this from a reliable internet source.
Unfortunately Baird didn't provide much commentary, just a few stats. The important thing is that after the scrimmage, Painter has an idea where they stand and what they need to work on.We should be very good this year. Not sure this scrimmage provides any direct correlation to to that opinion.
Okay give it a rest already....More proof we're better than last year. Have fun on a bench Caleb

How much will he be earning just for having "fun on a bench"?
I'd be glad to land high-caliber, high-profile, ready-for-the-pros players like him more often instead of every 10+ years or so.
Yeah I was a bit surprised when I read the write up on WV, that they were ranked that high. It seems people put a bit too much emphasis on NCAA super stars. Purdue lost 1 and is under ranked and you guys still have one and are over ranked.FYI from a Mountaineer. Good game for the Boilermakers. We are not even close to a #11 ranking at this point.
Our best F is out till mid Jan. Our 2G is out with a deep thigh bruise. Our C is a tremendous talent and will block everything in the building but is a foul machine. We have a walk on behind him. Our 3 would normally be our starting 4 (he's also a SO with 10+minl/gm last year)
This team is very young, very thin. 8 players from last year. We have only 2 SR's and one his hurt. 1 JR from last year that is out till Jan. 5 SO's from last year's team, only 1 of which saw significant time. .
Huggins will have to pull a rabbit out of his hat for this team to be a legit top 25. But he has done this in the past. That's what a coach with 800+ W's does.
Good Luck this year.
Biggie had 5 pts and 4 boards in 14 minutes, in each of his last 2 games. Hardly riding the pine.More proof we're better than last year. Have fun on a bench Caleb
When we are all healthy and back on the court we will have a great starting lineup.
PG, 2G may be (No, Will Be) the best defender duo in the country. Both can score from deep, both can handle the ball from the point.
SF and PF are talented enough that they could both be drafted.
C could be the #1 shot blocker in the league. He owns the paint
Depth is the question.
We have a top 5 coach in the country. That's good enough for 5W's in itself.
Huggins is solid. Top 5 might be a bit much though.
I want a guy who sticks around 3 or 4 years before moving on. Can't all get what we want
It's not a Purdue person.Biggie had 5 pts and 4 boards in 14 minutes, in each of his last 2 games. Hardly riding the pine.
You think he should have turned down a multimillion $$$ guaranteed contract? If anything, I expect Purdue people to be logical, and that would be about as illogical as it gets.
That’s funny! We're not talking about basketball anymore, are we?
Please leave your personal problems out of this discussion.I want a guy who sticks around 3 or 4 years before moving on. Can't all get what we want
I hate when posters use a gender misrepresentative alias!Well, uh, he's a guy...
Wherever you want to put Bob Huggins, he moved up at least a spot over the off-season. I wouldn't mind seeing Purdue try to re-establish a home/home series with West Virginia on a more frequent basis.

And she sounds hideous!Well, uh, he's a guy...
I agree, prior games have been exciting and it'd be nice to establish some OOC buzz that isn't part of a tournament or challenege.
