Purdue won easily, by double digits, but no final score was given. 16 turnovers and won the rebounding battle by 6.
WVU is ranked 10 by USA Today and 7 by KenPom.
Taylor didn't play but will be back in practice Tuesday.

Unfortunately Baird didn't provide much commentary, just a few stats. The important thing is that after the scrimmage, Painter has an idea where they stand and what they need to work on.
Okay give it a rest already....
How much will he be earning just for having "fun on a bench"?
I'd be glad to land high-caliber, high-profile, ready-for-the-pros players like him more often instead of every 10+ years or so.

I want a guy who sticks around 3 or 4 years before moving on. Can't all get what we want
FYI from a Mountaineer. Good game for the Boilermakers. We are not even close to a #11 ranking at this point.
Our best F is out till mid Jan. Our 2G is out with a deep thigh bruise. Our C is a tremendous talent and will block everything in the building but is a foul machine. We have a walk on behind him. Our 3 would normally be our starting 4 (he's also a SO with 10+minl/gm last year)
This team is very young, very thin. 8 players from last year. We have only 2 SR's and one his hurt. 1 JR from last year that is out till Jan. 5 SO's from last year's team, only 1 of which saw significant time. .
Huggins will have to pull a rabbit out of his hat for this team to be a legit top 25. But he has done this in the past. That's what a coach with 800+ W's does.

Yeah I was a bit surprised when I read the write up on WV, that they were ranked that high. It seems people put a bit too much emphasis on NCAA super stars. Purdue lost 1 and is under ranked and you guys still have one and are over ranked.
Biggie had 5 pts and 4 boards in 14 minutes, in each of his last 2 games. Hardly riding the pine.
You think he should have turned down a multimillion $$$ guaranteed contract? If anything, I expect Purdue people to be logical, and that would be about as illogical as it gets.
When we are all healthy and back on the court we will have a great starting lineup.
PG, 2G may be (No, Will Be) the best defender duo in the country. Both can score from deep, both can handle the ball from the point.
SF and PF are talented enough that they could both be drafted.

Wherever you want to put Bob Huggins, he moved up at least a spot over the off-season. I wouldn't mind seeing Purdue try to re-establish a home/home series with West Virginia on a more frequent basis.
Absolutely a top 5 coach. Who else could win so much with average talent for so many years? It's not like he's getting 5* players to come to WVU or before to Cincy. WVU has had ONE 5* player in Huggs tenure here. He does it by recruiting potential and developing these kids.
Coach K, Cal, Boeheim, Calhoon, Roy and even Bobby in the day always got the 5* kids. I dont' believe there is one coach in the country that has done more over his career without having the best of the best talent coming out of HS.

I agree, prior games have been exciting and it'd be nice to establish some OOC buzz that isn't part of a tournament or challenge.

I'd love to have a game in Dec every year with you guys. The conference challenges are nice, but there is no continuity to who plays. Kudo's to you on getting your team into mid season form this early.
