Purdue battles for a half but fades at OSU (link)

It really comes down the MSU game. I'm going to pencil in the Illinois win which I probably shouldn't do with this team.

Can't fault the way Purdue mostly played today. Mitchell is unreal, but you could see the fatigue. Once when Karissa had the stolen from her she just loped down the court which is not like her. This was manifested later in the game too. Can't blame them. If more shots had fallen...but that is always the case. We should beat a bad Illini team at home and then get an up and down MSU team (which also beat Md) for Keys senior game. Good chance to win 20 and then at least one in BTT, which should put us with a bad seed in the Dance. Sure hope we have the depth next year because this is a promising team.
P.S. Whoa, Minnesota trashed MD. The Golphers are a team on the rise for sure.

Agree that this team has the foundation to be very good next year. Even now, when they play well, they can beat almost anyone. With next year's recruits, (assuming no more departures) Purdue will have that much needed depth. I've been particularly impressed with Purdue's ability to finish under the basket on offense - an ability that we haven't had in many years. Also impressed with Harris' shot altering/blocking ability on defense. They've improved dramatically from the start of the season and could very well make a run in the Big10 tourney.
