Both Casey and I are courtside today for this one, so here are some halftime thoughts.
  • If Purdue plays as well as it did in the final 10 minutes of the half it cannot be beaten. Fletcher Loyer and Braden Smith played some excellent basketball to combine for 32 points and jsut two turnovers.
  • Arizona looked a little shook when Purdue went on its run. They were running well and Keshad Johnson was getting open for easy baskets on back cuts, but four steals from Loyer cannot be overlooked.
  • Mason Gillis hasn't scored, but has been big on the glass.
  • Caleb Furst gave some good minutes and had a great putback dunk.
  • The scary thing if you are Arizona is that Edey has been relatively quiet. Just nine points and three rebounds.
  • Arizona is too good to not have a run in them. So far they have only attempted four threes, but they hit three of them.
