To keep somewhat of fan interest with the football program, I would fire Shoop right now and promote Terry Malone from TE coach to OC.
Malone just spent 9 years on New Orleans Saints staff. Coaching All-Pro Jimmy Graham, maybe the best TE ever. Was coaching when Saints won Super Bowl. Before the Saints he was with Michigan as O line coach and then OC. He was on staff in 1997 when Michigan won National Championship. Played for Holy Cross as a TE, so he must be smart to have gone to school there.
