Probably Biggest Disappointment

Yeah we heard how the Offensive line was looking forward to the challenge. Purdue looked like first game under Hazel against Cinn. Team has to be totally embarrassed

Years of recruiting in the top 10 and playing a team recruiting in the 50-60's. Try to translate that into basketball and see what results you get. We should be thankful he beat 3 ranked teams and took us to 2 bowl games. DH gave us the curse and we are slowly getting out of it. Give it another 2-3 years and I still say we compete for a B1G title.

Embarrassed...out coached out played!
The team should come back ready to get stronger and work on technique!
Totally outplayed... physically and mentally!
Auburn came out punched Pu in the mouth n pu never responded
Pu needs more def help...w wil it be ready next fall? Time will tell!
I m still excited about the direction of the football team!
Keep coaching the kids up... coaches!
Live and learn!
Use the game as a stepping stone to bigger and better days n redults!

Auburn scores 63 points and you're concerned about the offense
I said disappointed. I am, to my chagrin, guilty of buying into the offense.
I expected the defense to be questionable, at best, particularly given Neal's loss.
However, I am disappointed that our regularly touted offensive game produced so minimally.
I am still glad to have Brohm, but this does little to, in any way, reinforce my support for what Purdue is now paying. I surely hope this is just a speed bump. I believe that he was a good hire.

Blough just doesn’t play well when his confidence takes a hit early in games.

It wasn’t just his confidence that took a hit . . . He was attacked by a fast, string and athletic D-line all day.

Hey, sometimes you lose and sometimes you just get beat . . . Auburn had the better team/players by far and we plain got beat.

Brohm knows what “it” looks like and he also knew we could be exposed by a really good, fast team.

Purdue will use this game to recruit, to grow and to continue the journey on becoming a legit B10 team worthy of playing top 10 teams. Years of mediocrity isn’t erased in a year or two. Changing a culture is an incredibly tough job . . . And, the first task when taking over an organization.

Lots of progress! Boiler Up!

Purdue has a great young coach that is building a solid program. I think the Ohio st game gave some fans the idea that they were "there" but it was just a glimpse of what your coach can eventually get you to. You just don't have the players yet, but I think if you can hold onto him you'll be in the 8-9 win range consistently and have some years where you really compete for the conference .

You just ran into a bad situation yesterday. Auburn had a disappointing season and damn near lost their coach .The players rallied behind him. He also ran off the OC and took back playcalling duties, something he should have done to begin with. So your team was mostly preparing for Lindseys offense that we ran all year and ended up facing Malzahns, which is absolutely deadly when its clicking .

Your boys have passion though .They were chippy after plays and not backing down from our guys. And I think that's great. People saying its classless don't realize it shows just how much they actually cared, even down big, that they were angry about how it was going and wasn't going to lay down.

Purdue has a lot to look forward to
