Predict ranking on Monday

My guess is 10 just because it sounds nice and round and puts us in the top ten! What say you fellow Boilermakers?

I'm thinking 11 or 12.

• The top 9 are all undefeated this week.
• #10 Gonzaga went 2-1 with the loss being to a ranked opponent and wins over Washington and UConn.
• #11 Arizona will go 2-1 with a loss to a good Providence team and wins over Santa Clara and Boise State.
• #12 Virginia beat Lehigh in their only game (just like us).

At least one of those teams remains in front of us and quite possibly two.

10-15 lost. I don't care who you lose to, a loss is a loss. It's not like they lost to a top 5 team, they were all upsets. Purdue is 6-0 and absolutely drubbing its opponents. It's only a ranking, but it does matter. Put them at 10.

The respect we deserve? Our SOS right now #294. That's out of 351.

It's great that we're 6-0. It's great we have beaten our opponents soundly. But we need to earn some respect on the court against good opponents before we start complaining about it.

I agree with you that our schedule has not been very good so far and I'm really looking forward to how we match up with Pitt, Butler and Vandy.

That said, when it comes to the Polls it really doesn't seem to matter about your schedule. The voters on the AP Poll are all over the place. I've ranted about this enough in other threads, but suffice to say that I don't think very many of them have any idea who we or anyone else have played so far.

To answer the OP, I will say #12 this week.

meh - who cares, the rankings will work themselves out eventually. Any B1G team that goes undefeated for a long enough time will get the top spot... eventually... even our Boilers.
