I agree with most of this take --- though I think it's too early to say that Painter has Gard's number. That first game in Madison last year was something like 2 or 3 games after Gard took over, and the other two have been at Mackey. I do think we can say that the Purdue-Wisconsin series has evolved into one of the B1G's best in recent years.

He also gave Painter credit for using a variety of line-ups to keep Hayes and Happ from getting comfortable.

bronson was a non factor just like vasturia vs us.

Unfortunately for them the next time we meet, unless it is in this postseason, they will only have one of their current starters playing in that game. They have a bit of a rebuild to do after this season. We will probably lose Swanigan, but should have everyone else back.
