Game of the year so far as Kansas outlasts Oklahoma in three overtimes. Oklahoma caught a break at the end of regulation when a rebounding foul was called. It looked like a good call, but often that isn't called. One of Oklahoma's poorer FT shooters missed a front end with 2 seconds left, which would have likely won it.
Two other thoughts from this game:
1. I know you want the last shot if it's tied coming down the stretch or in OT, but it seems now.....it's just "pound the rock" outside the top of the key until there's three seconds left and just make something happen after that.
2. Anyone see the play right before half......Heller? Terrible call on Kansas (defender made a great clean strip on Hield I think it was), and Self goes ballistic......and T'd up right away. I give the official a knock for blowing the call, but I like that he wasn't afraid to T up Self (in Allen Fieldhouse) who clearly used a string of profanities (something like are you %^&^ing crazy several times). Now, I don't necessarily blame Self.....and I think he probably would have been given some leeway had he not used "salty" language. Hield made three of four FT's to stretch the lead to four. Would you see a Big Ten official do that? Maybe to Fran or Groce.....
