PLEASE No Letdown this time...

agreed.. NCAA does their mock tourney seeding this Saturday.. I really want to see what we get if we are coming off a win at IU... I think we have an outside shot at being a 3 seed if we win that

we have beat every top team in the big ten.. beat wisc, beat maryland, beat NW, beat mich st.. beat IU and I dont see how we dont get the big ten's top seed even though Wisc is in 1st

We have no shot at being a 3 seed before this weekend unless several teams in the 7 through 14 range lose at least once, and probably even twice. Even with a win @IU, we are going to be lucky to be a 4 right now.
Remember, RPI is still the major source of positioning this year. Maybe next year when they start to use other metrics.......

Come on, Boilers. No letdown after a big win this time around.

Won against Wisconsin, then proceeded to lose @Iowa

Won @ Michigan State (even in a down year for M$U, that's a nice win), then lost @ Nebraska.

PLEASE do not let a letdown happen again @ IU and POTFH!!!

WHAT ??????

Where do you come up with this stuff?

CMP will have the Boilermakers hitting on all cylinders against the hapless hooters.

Right , Herr Kesselschmuck?

the win at maryland put us right back into a 4 seed... bpi and kenpom both have us in the top 12

I agree we probably cant get to a 3 even with a win at IU, but we should be locked in a 4 right now especially with a win at IU

Its IU, there is no way there will be a let down! Wish it was at Mackey, but I like our chances!

You probably said that last year as well. IU won the lone matchup.

We have proof of games that appeared to be "letdown" games this season, so the concern is warranted.

If you haven't noticed, every game in Big Ten is tough this year. Every freaking game. If we lose it's not because we had a let down. Every game is tough. Wisconsin wins tough games, but they have 4 seniors who played heavy minutes in NCAA championship game two years ago. Seniors win tough games. Purdue us having a great season and many of you are missing it. Get a BTT bye until Friday. That's the goal. No one has any clue on seedlings. No one. Let the process work and enjoy the ride!

Agree that the goal should be to get a top four seed for the BTT...because that is something you can control yourself at this point. If Purdue simply goes out and plays up to its ability level the rest of the season, there is no reason they shouldn't win out to the BTT Title Game...however, as mentioned heavily....conference season means you have to be prepared every night.

My prediction is that Purdue handles their business on Thursday against IU but probably drops a game against Michigan or NW (NW might be playing for the 4th spot in that game). That would more than likely place Purdue at 25 - 6...a great regular season with a double bye in the tourney more than likely playing OSU, IU, Minnesota, Michigan, or Nebraska in that first game.

Actually, I didn't state this last year! I have been watching us pretty closely and have seen us have a few let down games, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska, but I knew that wasn't going to happen this year with this team against IU. We are too competitive to have a let down against our biggest rival! We are a lot different than last year's team in my opinion! Luckily I was right - we did good! Would love to catch Wisconsin for the regular season title, but that chance may have sailed when Wisky escaped Nebraska with a 1 point overtime win last night. We have a few tough games remaining on our schedule. We need to be ready against Michigan State and well just about everybody if we want to close the regular season with 6 more wins. The Michigan game on the road looks like a tough one. However it turns out I am liking what I am seeing from this team thus far.
