So if Bama and Georgia play for the title but the rest of the SEC manages 1 bowl win, what does that tell us?

The SEC is definitely nowhere deep as it used to be, but at the top, they are still the King. Clemson and Ohio State are the only ones so far who could compete with some success at that level it appears.

And this year, all THREE PLAYOFF PAYDAYS.........
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and plenty of bourbon and tea flowing.

I didn’t notice players opting out for Alabama, Georgia, Cincinnati, or Michigan. They must have some signed contract not to hurt anyone before going pro.

That's always been the policy. If a team is in the playoff and has a chance of a NC, the players stay. But if they are in a 'meaningless' bowl game then they don't want to take the chance of getting injured.
