Our big provide our major points and blocked shots. I agree they have foul trouble. But every minute one of them sits on the bench, Painter is wasting talent (output). I would rather promote one of them on the bench with 5 fouls at the end.
Here is my suggestion:
1) start both until one fouls ( or at the 4 minute mark to give one a chance)
2) alternate has we have done
3) with 4 minutes or less to go, play both until one fouls out
additional point: the ref's can't concentrate on one big to call a foul on in the 1st half.
another point: two big with a high/low, we can play over their defense.
