Should've never come to this but we played scared and that team hit some gotdamn prayers. Hill was fouled and the ref swallowed his whistle. Team should've buried them but didn't and now all of our brackets are busted and my spring break is ruined. Thanks, Purdue.

Where was the foul -- he slipped and lost his balance -- no one touched him.

What? Replay clearly showed he arm was grabbed. Did he slip? Yes. But he continued toward the hoop and attempted a shot until his ARM WAS GRABBED.

Even if he was, you are not going to get a foul call in the last 10 seconds of a game. If that is what you are banking on, your going to lose every time.

The only Purdue player fouled at the end of a tournament loss in the past 30 years was Roy Hairston when that Memphis guy tore off his arm and launched himself off of his back to get the tip in. Tony Jones wasn't fouled, and Johnny Hill certainly wasn't.

Agree, team played not to lose the last three minutes of regulation but as I saw it, Hill's arm was hooked and it was a foul. The Refs. also missed a hack on the arm of Hammonds that the ball went out of bounds and given to Little Rock, that missed call was towards the end of regulation and I think cost you guys the win.

Screw the fouls. This game was all about courage. Or in Purdue's case, the utter lack of it. These guys played not to lose all yearlong. What a sad way to go through life.

He was absolutely mugged, wtf were you guys watching?
Him falling down out of control into the defender, similar to what he has done all season. But hey, Bryson Scott couldn't have done that. Good thing we fixed the PG problem before it became a problem in the Big Dance

Look, Hill botched it, I can't believe we would create a topic all to itself saying he was fouled when he wasn't , wow. Just give it up to UALR, they hit that huge 3 when we should have fouled and won the game....game over if we purposely foul...... but NO, Painter decides against it. But that's ok, there's always next year.

Exactly.

Hill was flying in so fast, when he tried to stop he basically almost slid under the basket.

Traveling should have been called. Nothing else.
Watch the actual video, his arm was grabbed and he was pulled down. I know you're an IU fan but come on, you can't deny that.

saw all the different angles, he was not fouled. he was losing balance and it was just a plain-ole screw up of the highest order among the many screw up down the stretch from coaching to mindless baffling plays to ill-advised impromptu plays that were brainless

I mean it was pretty obvious that his plant foot slipped after that he was just falling and threw up the ball so it was a travel. It was stupid play anyways, I don't know why he thought he should go for the layup when the jumper would have got the entire D off balance. This team deserves to lose. Painter deserves to be fired putting HILL out their on the final play. It was ****ing amatuer hour out there.

No but you've proved beyond doubt that your posting style is that of a cynical, snide lil baby beyotch. and severely unfunny with your ad naseum sarcasm schtick. Go root for another university you miserable, sad sack.
Cry some more for me, buttercup. Your tears make me stronger. Besides, if I leave then Purdue has about 8 fans left.

Come on, man.

Just don't be that guy.

Hill came into the man guarding him slipping and sliding like he was on skates.

If the ref doesn't blow his whistle, then there is no foul. That is the way the game is played. There were a dozen other places this game could have turned on, which deserve more focus than this. I would like there have been a foul right there, but the arm contact was incidental, and not the cause of the slide by Johnny. Bless him, he tried to win the game by himself and could not.
