Bently HAS to make that sack. Completely changed the game. Would have been 4th and long from inside their own 10. Instead they drive for a TD.
However, it is nice to be able to point to a single play that turned the game against us. Years past we couldn't say that...especially against a team that will be top 10 all year.Bently HAS to make that sack. Completely changed the game. He never started the game.I saw Fuller was knocked out - I guess before the Cubs' loss was finished - so I didn't see it. Is it serious?

I get your point but missing that tackle was HUGE. I’m not blaming him...he had to be gassed.B.S!
This crap has to stop.
The game lasted 4 flippin' quarters, and you're going to lay this at Bentley's feet?
What about the tipped incomplete pass early?
Or the penalties?
Or the no calls on the late hit/targeting in our end zone, possibly resulting in another TD? Or the blatant no call pass interference which would have given us substantial field position, sustained a drive and done who-knows-what?
Or the numerous missed tackles.
Or the dropped passes?
Or the passive play-calling when we could have been more aggressive?
Goodness, brother . . . to "call out" one specific player and write it as the "play of the game?"
Dude . . .
thanks for copying my earlier post.Today's' game Brought back bad memories of leading ND and knocking out their first and second string QBs only to see their third string QB lead ND to an improbable victory on our home turf! After that game, he never looked back! His name? Joe Montana
Thanks for the information: Did he get banged up in practice or something? Didn't know he was going to be unavailable. He never started the game.
Then please re-tract your post.I get your point but missing that tackle was HUGE. I’m not blaming him...he had to be gassed.
It wasn’t my post. Then please re-tract your post.
It was NOT the "play of the game."
I’m as confused as you. It was news to me too. It was a huge loss. I think he’s clearly our best back. Thanks for the information: Did he get banged up in practice or something? Didn't know he was going to be unavailable.
I disagree. Many plays impact a game, but in my opinion, that play had the biggest impact in us losing the game. Make that sack and I think we win the game. It doesn't mean Bentley didn't make many other plays, he just missed that one. Then please re-tract your post.

He might have been able to help us today! I did a little digging and found out he was in a walking boot today - but not sure what happened. Hopefully it's just a sprain and he is back for the Minnesota game. I hope he is not out for an extended period.I’m as confused as you. It was news to me too. It was a huge loss. No one is blaming Bently. But that was the biggest play of the game! Completely changed the outlook and momentum

It was worth repeating because it was deja vu all over again!
Yes. You are.Really?
That seemed to be the point of this thread.
Go back to the top. Maybe I'm missing something.
which brings me back to my point.Yes. You are.
It was a huge play. It could’ve made a difference.
sorry but it was the play of the game. we were ahead and would have had great field position. instead, they marched down the field and went ahead 14-10. game overThen please re-tract your post.

Spin it any good want, but that play was the defining play that turned the game around.B.S!

I was at that game and remember it well. An ugly turn of events for us.Today's' game Brought back bad memories of leading ND and knocking out their first and second string QBs only to see their third string QB lead ND to an improbable victory on our home turf! and a repeated failure to get a first down? with multiple opportunities? That gets a pass?sorry but it was the play of the game. we were ahead and would have had great field position. instead, they marched down the field and went ahead 14-10. game over
After three games I have seen way to many negative plays for the D because we seem to aim high when we tackle. Lots of QB's backs and receivers ducking and turning out of our grasp and we have enough targeting calls to last all season.Bently HAS to make that sack. Completely changed the game. Would have been 4th and long from inside their own 10. Instead they drive for a TD.
