Play calling - trick plays

I know many here probably hate the patriots, but I wish Purdue could call 2-3 trick plays a game or be occasionally innovative like them to help keep the D honest.
Fun for both the fans and players too.

The play book was probably too big already, but maybe slim it down and add a few new wrinkles each week or two.

Even in a down year, i still remember the excitement of that hook and ladder play at home to beat Michigan (siller-orton-tardy).

They cant run the regular plays well enough to even consider running a trick play.

The problem with trick plays is that they many times fool the offense more than the defense. And, our players have a hard enough time figuring out Shoop's standard plays.
