Part of the problem is that teams have seen that Purdue is one of the top 3-pt shooting teams in the nation, so they decided to shut it down. So the Boilers beat them inside. They pick their poison.

Yeah, Thompson, Mathias, Cline, and the Edwards' have all been missing open threes in recent games. They're in a bit of a slump and need to shoot their way out of it on Tuesday night vs. the Nittany Lions. One redeeming thing about is that Thompson and the Edwards' have been able to score off of their drives in recent games, so they're not totally out of the scoring equation. Didn't Cline have a drive to the hoop today vs. MSU? I can't remember if he made it or not.

PJ's defense has been good lately. He seems to have had a lot of steals or near steals lately. He has also had more success going to the basket lately. Would love to see the 3-ball fall in with the same consistency as it did a few games back however!

The Boilers need the Edwards' playing their best ball as well. I was surprised to see that VE didn't have any rebounds today (none credited specifically to him: there were six rebounds credited to TEAM for Purdue today, so he might have been involved in some of those 50-50 tipped balls going for rebounds) and CE's only points were on an old-fashioned three-point play.

He made it but it was waved off because he was fouled before the shot.
