PITINO GONE......

This is gonna be bad but Purdue should be smart and see it as an opportunity. We'll have bunch of recruits available to us for the next few years who wouldn't have looked at us twice before. Better play it well!
I will make a wild and crazy guess ... Langford now to IU????

I did minimal research .. PU was not interested in any of their unsigned recruits other than Langord ....

Tom Crean or Thad Matta both being mentioned as possible candidates at UL

I thought Matta was dealing with some health issues. I don't see him wanting to step in to that kind of mess, especially this soon, I expect he will take a little time off before getting back in to coaching.

At least U of L put them on paid administrative leave while they wait to officially fire them. thats super nice of them.

there's a lot of hair oil coming down the ohio river today from Kentucky. Coincidence ???

Thad just bought a house in Indy next door to Barry Collier. He has back issues and his right foot doesn't work due to a botched back surgery.

Pitino's on Unpaid.....AD is on paid leave.
I would guess UL Board of Regents is reviewing overall exposure of the athletic dept and university before officially cutting ties with Jurich. Also $ 160 mil Adidas Apparrel contract may cause some hesitation as Jurichs daughter Haley Marie Jurich is the Adidas account/brand mgr liason with university. Funny how things in college basketball get complicated by shoe/apparel contracts and relatives, coaches, admintrators that profit from the deals? Unlike college football, basketball has more of a "sleaze" factor involved-at least with certain schools?

My question with this thought would be: doesn't the criminal activity on the part of ADDIAS somehow affect the contract between the school, and the shoe/apparrel company (IF eventually proven)? I mean, I would think that somewhere in the contract there would be at least a token clause about code of conduct, and what would be considered a violation or breach of the "good standing" part of the contract. I am not in any way, shape or form an attorney here, so, am I just way off base with this line of thinking?
I would think that the corruption charges by ADDIAS would equate to at least willful negligence, which in turn, the university could use to terminate the contract without penalty?

Can I get a real lawyer's opinion here?

There might be enough smoke around Bloomington over this that I wouldn't even try to guess.

If there is any doubt around a program, this may follow them until the investigation is concluded.

.....and they're an Adidas school....lol! This would be the jewel in Karma's crown...But who has IU gotten recently they would have had to pay for???? But along with Petino, though, I'm betting ole Brucie Pearl's toes are curling pretty tight at Auburn right now. "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Clause and these nice men in black brought him in September!!"

I bet his toes are not the only part of his body that is tightening ....

Does he really think he can get out of this one? More of the same in a new statement

That's what I thought at first, but Vonlay, Bryant, and Parea where mentioned by Dakich as being interesting. That is considering the handlers and where they came from. IU is far from in the clear. IU might be smart by firing Glass now and distancing themselves from any possibility at being dragged into the scandal.
