With Ivey going 5th last night, other teams cannot say that if you go to Purdue that you will never be a lottery pick. Painter has shown that he can recruit and develop talent, and last night was further proof.

Yes Purdue has had it’s share of top recruits and 2 number 1 overall picks but until we can routinely get to F4’s all we will be infatuated with is how well our players do in NBA

Never the less it is a step in the right direction. It was a very cool sight to see Ivey being drafted with Painter right there and recruits will see that. Like it or not, top 100 prospects want to get to the NBA. college degree, FF, National Championships are secondary. Also, it has been a lot of fun watching Brees' NFL career. Hopefully we will get the NBA equivalent of that with Ivey.
