This is gonna be quick because have to get back to the gym and I'm on a mobile hotspot right now and I'm tearing through data today like Pac-Man through pellets.

Please see our updates on the following from today: Jaren Jackson | Xavier Tillman | Kyle Young | Jordan Goodwin

They'll be expanded with quotes and stuff later, or at least some of them will.

Spoke also with Nojel Eastern at length, but getting him to say anything interesting about recruiting is like trying crack a safe with a spork. He's one of the nicest kids I've ever covered and he's just not going to say anything to put anyone off. Trying to put words in his mouth, I asked about Purdue, Michigan State, Xavier and Ohio State being among his lead group. He said yes, but "but like eight more," without elaborating. Michigan is now recruiting him but hasn't offered even though it just had him in for a visit. Michigan may want a better shooter at the point.

Isaiah Livers, Eastern's teammate, is a nice player, a big forward who can really shoot. He couldn't make a scheduled visit to Purdue in June, but said he wants to come in August.

Purdue is recruiting Houston Hoops big man Isiah Jasey. I have no idea what his recruiting picture looks like but Jack Owens watched him and his team this afternoon. Houston Hoops have a 2018 forward, Matthew Mayer, on Purdue's radar too. I requested both for media interviews, but if Houston Hoops showed up at the media room I missed it because Eastern's Meanstreets team went to OT with Nike South Beach. Meanstreets won. Great game.

Also, Purdue has been watching BABC's Terrell Brown, a forward from Rhode Island. Around this time a year ago, Purdue was watching BABC's Bruce Brown and soon after he became a pretty big target.

Theo John didn't come to the media room, either, so I didn't get him. Maybe tomorrow.

Anyway, Matt Painter is here for Purdue. So is Owens. Brandon Brantley is now at Under Armour in Charlotte and Greg Gary in Philadelphia for Malik Williams.

Tonight, we'll have a full recap, more meat on the bones of these updates and some video interviews if we can find a connection that isn't hacking and weezing.
