Did anyone have the stomach to listen to Painter's post-game comments? I'm curious to know if he took any responsibility or just dealt the usual BS of "we played hard but they just played harder". I'm not looking for a beat down by the "positive police" on this board. I just want to know what he said.

Painter should be fired after this. His team played like a joke and embarrassed the conference and school in a profound way. This is a biblical loss today. One that should never ever happen with such an astounding advantage over the other team. Painter sucks and thank god this loser athletic director is out too so we can fire this bunch if simpering slobs and get them off campus immediately. This is an unforgivable loss. Very very few losses qualify as such but this one does. Absolutely unforgivable. The program needs to move in a vastly different direction. I would happily trade Painter for LR's coach. To tell yah the truth I knew this would happen and could barely bring myself to watch this game. Painter's one dimentional schemes are so visible he might as well ask the other team's approval before he runs a play out there. Just totally exposed. Its time to reward failure like this with being fired. This is worse than losing to Rice a few years ago in football and that fool rightfully was fired not ling after. This is much much worse and much much more unforgivable. A coach that doesn't care isn't a coach at all. You have to not care to lose this game. It is the only way they lose this one. Bening a winner is inside your gut. This team doesn't have it and that's the coaches fault.

Painter doesn't suck. 26-8 is pretty decent really. Unfortunately we've seen his ceiling. He won't land better talent than he had on this team (or the big 3). His ceiling is a B1G championship once a decade or less, and an occasional sweet 16. That is mediocre or maybe below average for a program like Purdue. He doesn't suck, but I agree he needs replaced. You wouldn't settle for mediocre in your job or life, why should we settle for a mediocre coach.
It isn't the record. A high school coach could of taken this purdue team to 8 losses. This was a coaching loss. We clearly need a new coach. You look at Butler and then Purdue. Purdue is a school that should have final four appearances regularly. It hasn't happened in our lifetime. This year it could have been and they got beat by a team that it should be impossible to lose to. A total disgrace.
