Pac-12, ACC and Big Ten "historic" ??? alliance ???

It’s a voting bloc.

also, not sure where you expand. Big 12 schools are garbage, acc schools are locked In a contract with a prohibitive exit penalty.

Pac-12, ACC and Big Ten announce historic alliance

Let's face it, this 'alliance' was the Mother Of All Nothingburgers. UT and OU joined the SEC and the ACC, B1G and P-12 responded with envy and inertia. The B1G needs to expand in both quality membership and TV footprint.
Agree with you... in general.

It's also been only a few months. I'm interested in seeing how this plays out. It's clear, there are two factions in college athletics; the $EC and most everyone else.

Whether the @sshats at the NCAA understand it or not, there's a collision course of epic proportions, and they're standing at ground zero.

Okay, another thing ... I get this whole "woke sh*t", and the intellectual/emotional softness of 2021, but when they include a nod to the gods of "diversity and inclusion", "social justice", and "gender equity", it doesn't inspire much confidence that they have much courage or leadership.

I wish them well, but don't hold out much hope.

True, Big XII schools are garbage and ACC schools are locked in. However I'm suggesting we raid the Pac-12 and the SEC: Colorado and Mizzou.

Also note the B1G would then be the only conference to raid all four other P5 conferences: ACC, SEC, Big XII, Pac-12, plus the Big East and indy Penn State.

Ncaa effectively has no authority over college football. E

Looks good, but a slight change.

Joking aside, the NCAA still awards the championship in basketball. They award nothing in football. The championship is handled by another entity and the NCAA has no involvement in the selection process. P5 schools gave them the middle finger when they put the BCS together.

understood.

They ceded their authority. They're weak... inconsequential... irrelevant...
