Overtime undoes Boilermakers again (link)

Will talk to Versyp Friday morning.

This is obvious, but Purdue would be in a world of hurt without her against Rutgers' big, physical guards.

That would be bad. I suspect she won't play, if it's a concussion. Isn't the minimal time like 7 days now, per national standards to be cleared and return to activity? That's only if it's an extremely mild head injury. Many researchers want it to be three weeks minimal, including no classes or school activity for younger people. The chance of a secondary concussion is the main worry.

Hopefully she's alright. That's number one priority.

They should not let her play this week. This is not her first concussion. I don't think we have a snowball's chance in Miami without her, but what the heck--this is a lost season anyway, so don't take chances with her head.

+100

By the way, I though we played Rutgers:)

Hah! Yes, we do play Rutgers. I usually say "A snowball's chance in Miami" as opposed to "a snowball's chance in hell" because #1 some people are offended, and #2 I don't believe in hell, but I do believe in Miami. Maybe going to Rutgers to play under these circumstances might be compared to going into hell? LOL! It's gonna be bad, and I feel for our players. I wonder why so many Rutgers players wear those long sleeves--I am guessing it is to cover up arms full of tattoos? Anyway, I give great props to Ashley Morrissette for filling in for April Wilson, but Ashley is not the natural point guard that April is, so it is much more difficult for her, but I know she tries her best and she is better than any of the other backups at that position. However, if April has had another concussion, no way should they put her on the floor this soon. IMO.

Hell yes, I agree.

Purdue's game notes, released today, call her a "game-time decision" for Rutgers, which is probably optimistic.
